Company Background
KONNYAKU INDUSTRIES (M) SDN BHD was incorporated in 26 September 2002. The main principal activity of this company is in the production of halal gelatine substitute materials from plant, innovation and marketing of the materials to the food producers worldwide.
The company was funded by CRDF scheme of MTDC in 2007 to undertake research and subsequently to commercialise plant extract as a substitute for gelatin. We are also in the process of introducing the plant as a viable crop in Malaysia. We have set up a production facilities to produce halal capsules from the plant extract and at the same time is promoting the application of this plant extract in the other downstream products particularly in the food based industries.
